Inspiratiedagen op Xplore – Agora Amsterdam

Bij ons leren leerlingen vanuit hun eigen nieuwsgierigheid en enthousiasme. Eigenaarschap van leren is dus geen strategisch begrip maar een zichtbaar fenomeen. Geen wonder dat er bij andere scholen veel interesse is in elementen die op de eigen school geïntegreerd kunnen worden. Hier helpen we graag mee door middel van volledig verzorgde studiedagen. We bieden teams graag de kans om in Agora onderwijs te duiken en een vertaalslag te maken naar hun eigen school. Hoe, leest u op deze pagina.
Rondleiding met presentatie
We ontvangen jullie graag in ons Grand Café voor een presentatie over onze school. Vervolgens gaan we op pad, en ontdek je het bijzondere gebouw, zie je hoe de leerlingen hun coachgroepen hebben vormgegeven en leer je hoe Agora onderwijs er in het echt uitziet. Je ziet de leerlingen in actie en volgt het dagelijkse moment waarop de hele coachgroep bij elkaar komt. Tot slot is er een Q&A waar vragen gesteld kunnen worden over onze school.

Aanvullende mogelijkheden
We nodigen teams van harte uit om bij ons te werken aan hun strategie, beleid, professionalisering of om invulling te geven aan een studiedag. Bij ons kun je gebruikmaken van de ruimtes, catering en faciliteiten van de school, of meegenomen worden door onze betrokken facilitators en trainers. We hebben programma’s van twee uur, een dagdeel of een hele dag klaarliggen op basis van een aantal thema’s. Uiteraard kunnen we ook een programma op maat maken die aansluit op jullie specifieke situatie.
De thema’s
1. Missie en visie
Door samen met je team op zoek te gaan naar de ‘kroonjuwelen’ van jullie school herijken jullie (opnieuw) de bedoeling, datgene waar het echt om draait. Jullie verdiepen datgene wat onderscheidend is aan jullie school, en wat jullie belangrijk vinden. De uitkomsten van deze bijeenkomst zijn goed te gebruiken voor een nieuw schoolplan, fusie of andere grote verandering op school die uitdaagt om terug te gaan naar de kern van jullie organisatie.
2. Het gebouw als katalysator van het onderwijs
Het is de architect die Xplore ontworpen heeft heel goed gelukt om een gebouw te ontwerpen dat ons onderwijs maximaal faciliteert. We nemen directies, bestuurders, werkgroepen of hele teams graag mee om te ontdekken hoe je van een gebouw een katalysator maakt voor je onderwijs.
3. Organisatiestructuur en leiderschap
Door middel van het spel We Own the School brengen deelnemers de beslissingsbevoegdheid van leerlingen, docenten, schoolleiders en OOP-ers in kaart. Ze leren over de organisatiestructuur van Xplore en maken samen een ideaalbeeld van eigenaarschap in de eigen schoolorganisatie.
4. Eigenaarschap in de klas
Deelnemers lopen en helpen een deel van de dag mee met een coach van Xplore om te leren over het stimuleren van eigenaarschap bij leerlingen. ‘s Middags krijgen deelnemers nog meer handvatten door middel van de aanpak: “Slim jezelf zijn”, een praktijkgerichte methode die leerlingen uitdaagt om te reflecteren op, en te werken aan, hun leergedrag en aanpak om zo eigenaarschap te nemen over hun leven.

Om ons te helpen om voor teams van andere scholen leerzame, inspirerende ervaringen te bieden werken we samen met onze ervaren partners: Stichting Student Ownership of Learning en Remind Learning. Twee partijen met expertise en ervaring op het gebied van eigenaarschap van leren in het onderwijs, en die betrokken bij Xplore zijn vanaf het eerste uur. Inspiration Days at Xplore – Agora Amsterdam
At our school, students learn based on their own curiosity and enthusiasm. Ownership of learning is therefore not just a strategic concept; it is a visible phenomenon. It’s no surprise that other schools are highly interested in elements that can be integrated into their own educational environment. We are delighted to assist with this by offering fully catered professional development days. We offer teams the opportunity to immerse themselves in Agora education and translate their insights into practical applications for their own school. On this page, you can read how we do this.
Tour and Presentation
We look forward to welcoming you to our Grand Café for a presentation about our school. Afterward, we will tour the campus. You will discover our unique building, see how students have shaped their ‘coach groups’, and learn what Agora education looks like in practice. You will see the students in action and observe the daily moment when the entire coach group gathers. Finally, there will be a Q&A session where you can ask any questions you may have about our school.

Additional Possibilities
We cordially invite teams to work with us on their strategy, policy, or professional development, or to structure their own team day. You can utilize our school’s spaces, catering, and facilities, or be guided by our dedicated facilitators and trainers. We have ready-made programs available—lasting two hours, half a day, or a full day—based on several themes. Of course, we can also create a customized program tailored to your specific situation.
The Themes
1. Mission and Vision
By searching for your school’s ‘crown jewels’, you will (re)calibrate your core purpose, what truly matters. You will deepen your understanding of what makes your school distinctive and what you value most. The outcomes of this session are highly suitable for developing a new school plan, navigating a merger, or managing any other significant change that requires a return to your organization’s core.
2. The Building as a Catalyst for Education
The architect who designed Xplore was highly successful in creating a building that optimally facilitates our educational vision. We are happy to guide management, administrators, working groups, or entire teams in discovering how to turn a building into a catalyst for your own educational approach.
3. Organizational Structure and Leadership
Using the ‘We Own the School’ game, participants map the decision-making autonomy of students, teachers, school leaders, and non-teaching support staff (OOP). They learn about Xplore’s organizational structure and collaboratively create an ideal model for ownership within their own school organization.
4. Ownership in the Classroom
Participants shadow and assist an Xplore coach for part of the day, learning how to stimulate ownership in students. In the afternoon, participants receive further tools through the ‘Slim jezelf zijn’ (Be Smart, Be Yourself) approach: a practice-oriented method that challenges students to reflect on and improve their learning behaviors and strategies, enabling them to take ownership of their lives.
